Portable GPS Tracker

 Introduction

 

The portable GPS Tracker comes with built-in GPS and GSM modules that supports sending of position data over SMS and GPRS. If you want to know the position of the tracker only occationally, it is possible to get the position data without depending on a GPS tracking server and therefore avoiding the monthly usage charges. The portable GPS tracker also supports live and historical tracking by GPSonRoad web based tracking services by sending position data over GPRS to GPSonRoad tracking server. The tracker supports incoming and outgoing voice calls with inbuilt microphone and speaker. The unit has two additional call buttons for phone calls and/or preformatted SMS to two additional predefined numbers. GPS Tracker can last 10 hrs while GSM and GPS are turned ON. In the event of an emergency, the personal tracker has an SOS panic button and a remote listen-in function. 

The unit can send GPS position data over SMS on receipt of SMS command in a predefined format or a phone call. It features real time tracking using GPRS, GPS data output, battery charge alert and 3 LED indicators.
